Drive Day 1
Well I am now in Albuquerque. The drive was okay except for the truckers, it seemed like every other one wanted to block me off from getting around them and thus making me slow down 15 miles per hour below the speed limit. I hope, but expect, to not experience the same thing tomorrow. Not much else to say at this point. Tomorrow the drive to Bakersfield CA begins which will be another 11ish hour drive.

get behind a fast car, stay behind it and follow it's moves. Most company trucks (Swift, Celadon, etc) are governed at 62 mph and driven by trainees or recent driving school graduates.
A fast car is one big truck with a lot of chrome and polish and clean, usually pulling a reefer trailer. These trucks are either not governed or governed at 75-80 mph.
They frequent the "Montford" lane, the passing lane. But be aware, it takes concentration to stay up with them, but you will make time.
Good luck on your trip. It is all uphill to Flagstaff.
